1. each 既可單獨使用，也可后接名詞，還可后接of短語；而every 后必須接名詞，既不能單獨使用也不能后接 of 短語：
Each is good. 每個都很好。（不能用every）
Each of the students has seen it. 每個見過它。（不能用every）
2. each 指兩者或兩者以上的“每個”，every 指三者或三者以上“每個”，因此指兩者時只能用 each：
There are trees on each side of the road. 路兩邊都有樹。
3. every 可受 almost 初中物理, nearly 等副詞的修飾，但 each 卻不能：
正：Almost every student has read the book. 差不多每個學(xué)生都讀過這本書。
誤：Almost each student has read the book.
